Planning consent achieved for PPS7 country house.

Mathewson Waters Architects, in collaboration with Planning consultant LDPC have achieved planning consent for a new country house within a listed Edwardian walled garden site in Wiltshire. Extensive consultation with the local community was undertaken over a period of 18 months whilst a formal and traditional design for the new house gradually evolved. The consented scheme is for a house of approximately 6,000 sqft, with associated garaging, workshops, storage and greenhouses. The house will use local natural stone and clay tiles as the main facing materials and will incorporate traditional detailing. Green technology will feature strongly in the new house, in terms of both energy-efficiency and power-generation.

New partner

Andrew Klemz has joined Mathewson Waters as a partner from 1st November 2011. Andrew is a very experienced architect and we welcome him to the team. He is mainly based in our Lambourn office, but also has an office in Whitchurch Hampshire.

We also have a new architectural technician, Ian Maw who joined us in November.
